Clinical Lead Psychiatrist - Substance Misuse Service - Cambridge - Up to £120,000 per annum

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: 9am - 5pm

We are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist, who will also be the acting Clinical Lead, for a substance misuse treatment centre in Cambridge. As Clinical Lead you will be running a service in that caters to those recovering from drug and alcohol addictions.

Responsibilities as Clinical Lead Psychiatrist include:

* Leading the service and overseeing all clinical governance and quality assurance
* Service development, commissioning and implementation of policy
* Providing appraisals and training to other clinicians
* Optimizing patient care and leading research and development, ensuring patient safety
* Accept referrals and assess complex cases
* Undertake complex prescribing if necessary
* Provide expert advice and act as a liaison for other drug and alcohol services

Requirements for the Clinical Lead Psychiatrist role include:

* Be registered on the GMC as a Psychiatrist or General Practitioner
* Have a specialisation in Addictions or Substance Misuse
* Driver's license
* The legal right to work in the UK
