Occupational Therapist - Community Team

Occupational Therapist - Community Team - Nottingham - Up to £20 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a Community Team based in Nottingham.

The successful applicant will be professional and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of their own work including the management of patients on caseload, ensuring high standards of clinical care, utilise core occupational therapy skills.

Responsibilities of this Occupational Therapist role include:

* To demonstrate ability to carry out specialist assessment and evidence-based interventions for a designated caseload of patients
* To evaluate interventions and ensure effective outcomes
* To demonstrate the ability to select and use appropriate therapeutic interventions with patients and group-work
* To work with families, carers and multi-agency services
* To undertake risk assessment and risk management within the context of local and national policy and legislation
* Take responsibility for effective discharge planning and safe transfers of care within own caseload
* To undertake audits and carry out data collection
* To be responsible for the clinical work undertaken by none-registered therapy staff

Essential requirements of this Occupational Therapist role include:

* Be HCPC registered
* Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in Occupational Therapy
* Hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a personal vehicle
* Ability to supervise/ manage staff and students
* Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure
