Speech and Language Therapist Band 7 - Ashford, Kent - £38,376 - £42,295 per annum

Working hours: 37.5 per week

A highly experienced and skilled band 7 Speech and Language Therapist is required to join a service in Kent. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will be providing care and support to male and female adults (over 18 years) with a brain injury or other complex neurological condition.

Duties as a Speech and Language Therapist:

* To take a senior role in Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) assessment and management of service users with communication (or swallowing disorders), maintaining high standards of clinical care and working with in a multidisciplinary team frame work
* To take responsibility for the development and management of SLT service and staff
* Ensure practice is evidence based where possible, using national SLT clinical standards
* To ensure risk assessments and care plans are person centred, and support the team to provide safe, effective and evidenced interventions for the service user
* To contribute to the Therapy department and Centre's service development as requested by the Lead Therapist and Registered Manager
* To offer support to create best practice communicative environments

Requirements of this Speech & Language Therapist role include:

* You will hold a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and have extensive post qualified experience
* Be a registered member of the RCSLT and HCPC
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* The legal right to work in the UK
