Occupational Therapist - Band 5 - Acute Medical - Merseyside - £16 - £19 per hour

Full time hours - Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00 (part time applications will also be considered)

We are currently looking for a full-time, band 5 occupational therapist with experience of community care. The successful occupational therapist will be joining the Acute Medical Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an occupational therapist to become part of a busy and committed team, who enjoy working supportively.

The successful Occupational Therapist will have experience of:

* Working on a busy ward
* Orthopaedics
* Elderly care
* Experience as an OT in a similar role
* Writing patient case notes and reports and collect statistics
* Educating patients and their carers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions
* Keeping up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients
* Communicating with a wide range of patients, carers and health and social care team members
* Liaising with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention
* Managing clinical risk

As an Occupational Therapist you MUST be:

* HCPC registered
* Eligible to work in the UK
