Unit Manager - Elderly Nursing Home - Stoke on Trent - £19 Per Hour

Working Hours: 44 Hours Per Week - Days Only

Liquid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced registered nurse (RGN or RMN) seeking a permanent position as a unit manager for a neurological care unit within an elderly nursing home based in Stoke on Trent.

The successful candidate will ideally have post-qualified experienced in a similar setting. Ideal candidates should be passionate about their profession, driven to deliver individualised and respectful care to the elderly while recognising resident's own personal needs. There are lots of opportunities to develop yourself within this new role. The successful candidate will be supported with training courses and mentorship courses to improve themselves and the standards the home operates to.

Duties of this Unit Manager Role:

* To provide exceptional, person-centred care within a clinical setting
* Assess the changing needs and condition of residents and review care plans accordingly
* Be confident enough to react accordingly to emergencies
* Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
* Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including social workers and community teams
* Partake in the training and induction of all new members of staff, healthcare assistants and student nurses
* Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines including acting upon CQC recommendations

Essential Requirements:

* A nursing qualification (RGN or RMN)
* Current registration with the NMC
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Post-qualified experience
