Deputy Home Manager - Elderly Nursing Home - Nottingham - £18p/h

Working hours: 38.5 hours (24 supernumerary)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nurse and Manager to take on the role of a Deputy Home Manager within a stunning service in Nottingham. 

Our ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Manager, as well as a qualified Nurse, who has an excellent track record in leading a team in a care home environment.

The home provides a specialist nursing service for individuals and offers a supportive environment with comfortable lounge areas. The dedicated team ensures that resident's individual care and social needs are met.

As the Deputy Manager, you will be required to:

  • Assist the registered manager in all aspects of the home management
  • Deputise in the absence of the home manager
  • Hold overall responsibility for maintaining and monitoring the clinical care being given
  • Ensure all nursing staff are compliant with the requirements of the NMC and re-validation
  • Provide effective leadership to a team of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Be responsible for day to day delivery of care
  • Identify and order medical equipment where required
  • Oversee the induction and training of new staff
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with other healthcare professionals, including visiting GPs

You will need to have:

  • Nursing qualification
  • A valid and up-to-date NMC registration
  • Leadership skills & qualification (ideal)
  • Experience working as a manager in a nursing home
  • The legal right to work in the UK
