Deputy Home Manager - Elderly Nursing Home - Cotgrave - up to £40,000p/a

Working hours: 3 x 12-hour shifts, plus 6 hours supernumerary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experience Nurse to take on the role of a Deputy Home Manager within a stunning service in the South Nottinghamshire area of Cotgrave.

You should be an experienced Nursing Home Manager as well as a Registered Nurse with an excellent track record in leading a team in a care home environment delivering outstanding care and achieving budgets. Ideal candidates with have a leadership qualification.

You may either be qualified as a General, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse for this role.

As the Deputy Manager, you will be required to:

  • Assist the registered manager in all aspects of the home management
  • Deputise in the absence of the home manager
  • Hold overall responsibility for maintaining and monitoring the clinical care being given
  • Ensure all nursing staff are compliant with the requirements of the NMC and re-validation
  • Provide effective leadership to a team of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Be responsible for day to day delivery of care
  • Identify and order medical equipment where required
  • Oversee the induction and training of new staff
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with other healthcare professionals, including visiting GPs

You are required to have:

  • A Nursing qualification
  • A valid and up-to-date NMC registration
  • Excellent management and leadership skills
  • Experience working as a manager in a Nursing Home
  • The legal right to work in the UK
