Head of Care - Complex Needs Nursing Home - Sheffield - £45,000 - £50,000p/a

Working hours: 9am - 5pm

We are currently looking for a highly experienced Senior Nurse to take on the role of Head of Care Manager for a permanent opportunity in a Complex Needs Nursing Home in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

As a Head of Care Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • All Care Quality Commission, Regulatory, Statutory and quality monitoring requirements
  • Registering with the CQC as the home's registered manager
  • Providing clinical oversight and holding clinical accountability for delivery of safe and effective care
  • Supporting the safe recruitment process of new staff
  • Ensuring that a detailed action plan is maintained which is used to drive service development
  • Ensuring that service user safety is paramount and maintained through robust clinical governance structures
  • Ensuring that the service has a positive leadership culture with regards to service delivery, safeguarding and whistle blowing
  • Submitting statistical data and reports on time
  • Supporting the General Manager with operational accountability for the occupancy and financial performance in line with agreed budgets
  • Having a clear understanding of occupancy and revenue against set targets
  • Ensuring that the home complies with standards of the Health & Social Care Act (2012)

You will need to have:

  • An RGN, RMN or RNLD Nursing qualification
  • Extensive Nursing Home experience
  • Leadership experience 
  • Current registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
