Staff Nurse - Small Nursing Home - Birmingham - £33,033p/a

42 hour week, salary based in 38.5 hours a week

We are presently looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join this small home in Birmingham, West Midlands. You will be joining one of the country's most well respected healthcare providers in this service which provides outstanding care to young adults with complex physical needs. Those needs include neurological disorders, Huntington's disease, Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis. The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of both theoretical and clinical aspects of nursing including developments within your profession.

Typical full time shift includes working 2 weekends in 4, and a rolling rota looking like the below:

1st week - 3 nights on shift (out of 7)

2nd week - 4 nights of shift (out of 7)

3rd week – 3 days of shifts (out of 7)

4th week – 4 days on shift (out of 7)

As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting pre-admission assessments, assessing care requirements
  • Providing safe and effective means for the handling, storage, recording and disposal of drugs
  • Reviewing and documenting care plans regularly
  • Participating in an on-call system to support the nurse in charge

You will need to have:

  • Nursing experience as a qualified RGN, RMN or RNLD
  • Working knowledge of CQC regulations and requirements 
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC and the legal right to work in the UK
