Clinical Lead - Elderly & Dementia Nursing Home - Birmingham - £18.50p/h + paid breaks

4 days per week - days only

Working hours: 2 x 12 hour shifts & 2 x 8am - 5pm shifts with occasional Saturdays

Our client are in need of an experienced Nurse to take on the position of Clinical Lead within their prestige Nursing Home in Birmingham. The Home holds a CQC rating of 'Good' and provides Mental Health, Nursing and Dementia care for a wide range of Elderly needs.

This is a fantastic position for a passionate and knowledgeable Nurse who is looking for a new position in which they can develop professionally.

As a Clinical Lead in a Nursing Home environment, you will:

  • Participate fully in the overall care of people who live there, enabling fulfilment and a sense of belonging.
  • Respond professionally and effectively to clinical emergencies in the home seeking urgent/emergency support from GP/Out of Hours services/999 as needed
  • Promptly escalate any serious clinical issues/concerns to Director of Care or Home Manager as appropriate
  • Take accountability for the medication rounds making sure that medication is administered strictly in line with policies and procedures adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Practice and the NMC Guidelines for the Administration of Medications
  •  Liaise effectively with doctors, health visitors, social workers, local hospitals and other community workers, to ensure the needs of our residents are met
  • Report any concerns raised about the home
  • Be responsible for the health and safety of self, other staff, people who live in the home and visitors

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • To be a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC pin
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Experience leading a small healthcare team
  • The legal right to work in the UK
