Clinical Lead - Mental Health Hospital - Sheffield - up to £39,000p/a

An RNLD or RMN is needed for a permanent opportunity in Sheffield, Yorkshire. You will be working in a hospital which offers a low secure service for women and CAMHS services for male and female adolescents over three distinct wards.

Within the adult service, women are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team who are focused on helping service users regain independence, maintain family links and prepare for discharge. There is a focus on community access, therapy and meaningful activity and offering a warm and welcoming environment for the delivery of support and care.

As the Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting the hospitals through clinical practice development and quality improvement
  • Having a lead responsibility in undertaking regular audits of care through monitoring and analysis of documentation, assessment and observation of the lived experience of patients
  • Working with the Clinical Manager to deliver targeted intervention where themes, trends and lessons learnt indicate a need for skills development
  • Working within services focusing on the development of nursing practice, through clinical leadership, coaching and mentoring
  • A planned programme of support across your area of focus as determined by the annual plan for Quality and Compliance
  • Attending all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensuring that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals
  • Administering prescribed medicines with Healthcare Procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines

You are required to have:

  • An RNLD or RMN Nursing qualification
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Current registration with the NMC
  • The legal right to work in the UK
