Service Manager - Rehabilitation Therapy - Preston - up to £45,000p/a

We are looking for a highly experienced OT or Physio, with management and rehabilitation experience, to take on a Service Manager role in Preston, Lancashire. You will be working in a newly built care centre which has been purpose built for the rehabilitation therapy services which you will be delivering to service users living in the Preston area.

As the Rehabilitation Therapy Service Manager, your role will be to:

  • Have accountability for the delivery and good governance of an MDT service; evaluating programmes of personalised rehabilitation and care as part of the multi-disciplinary team 
  • Demonstrate a high level of clinical, technical and research skills through breadth and depth of knowledge in Rehabilitation Therapies
  • Provide highly specialist rehabilitation treatment programmes to meet individual needs and outcomes
  • Provide strong effective leadership and management of the rehabilitation therapies team including recruitment, appraisal and performance
  • Ensure practice complies with the HCPC and relevant professional standards and ethics
  • Act as a role model to the rehabilitation therapy service
  • Ensure all staff within the unit are managed and supported in line with company people management policies

You will need to have:

  • Qualification in either Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy 
  • Management degree or equivalent experience 
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Relevant post registration training in a neurological rehabilitation speciality 
  • Highly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning 
  • Experience of managing a team of staff including setting objectives, appraisal, recruitment and disciplinary issues
