Support Worker - Supported Living Services - Surrey - £8.21p/h

40 hour working week

*No healthcare experience is required, all training will be provided*

We are looking for a dedicated person to work as a support worker within a supported living service across Surrey. You must have a passion for working with young people who have complex learning or physical disabilities. Our client have a number of services across the Surrey area that you can work in. There are services based in Wallington and Caterham.

You will be working on a 2 week rolling rota including every other weekend.


7am – 9pm

1pm – 7pm

Your primary responsibilities as a Support Worker will include:

  • Supporting individual service user needs in accordance with the Person Centred Plan (PCP)
  • Diagnosing seizures and support service users during a seizure, administering emergency medication if needed
  • Under the guidance of the medical team, support service users to attend medical appointments and provide a comprehensive feedback to the service manager in order to support the service users’ ongoing medical needs
  • Contributing to the prevention and management of challenging behaviours following behavioural management guidelines
  • Supporting quality assurance activities of services as required
  • Promoting service users’ rights to confidentiality of information in accordance with the guidelines of company policy and data protection laws
  • Being responsible for administering daily medication and carrying out activities in line with medication training requirements

Essential requirements:

  • The desire to work in a trusted healthcare position
  • Numeracy and literacy level 1
  • To be a team worker
  • Confidence in managing challenging situations
