Learning Disability Nurse - Specialist Care Facility - Clitheroe - £31,000 + £5,000 bonus scheme

Working Hours: 37.5 hours on a 4 weekly rotation basis (days and nights available)

We are recruiting for a Learning Disability Nurse to work in a care facility in Clitheroe, Lancashire. The site is furnished to the highest standards and developed to provide a 33 bed residential care home. 29 standard en-suite bedrooms and 4 onsite recovery flats with kitchen facilities.

The standard en-suite rooms are spread over 3 units; 2 male-only units and 1 female-only unit. The buildings are set within extensive grounds on the outskirts of Clitheroe.

The specialist care's facility, is a residential care home offering hospital-equivalent levels of care from a Consultant Psychiatrist-led Multidisciplinary Team.

As a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring optimum client care is maintained by managing patient care plans and risk assessments 
  • Providing a highest standard of quality care of patients 
  • Promote and maintain high standards of clinical practice 
  • To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate resident care in order to achieve the highest standards of contemporary care
  • Acting as a Named Nurse / Key Worker for allocated group of residents
  • Providing supervision for unqualified / junior staff 

You are required to have:

  • A Registered Learning Disability Nursing qualification
  • Current registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK 
  • The ability to use your skills to develop care plans and risk assessments
