Mental Health Nurse - Low/Medium Secure Hospital Ward - Warrington - £28,700 - £36,400p/a

We are in need of a qualified mental health nurse to work on a female only, medium / low secure ward in a mental health hospital in Warrington, Cheshire.

You will be working in a 82 bed mental health hospital for females who require mental health nursing care. The hospital has a fantastic reputation and has achieved a Good CQC with providing support to women over the age of 18 who have personality disorders and mental illnesses. 

As a mental health nurse, you will play a critical role as valued member of the multi-disciplinary team. You will need motivation and drive along with excellent team working skills and must enjoy variety. The ability to work well under pressure and to rise to any challenge is a must.

As a Mental Health Nurse working in a Secure environment, you will be:
  • Providing exceptional, person-centred care within a clinical setting
  • Assessing changing needs and conditions
  • Being confident enough to react accordingly to emergencies
  • Ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
  • Partaking in the training and induction of all new members of staff, healthcare assistants and student nurses
  • Complying with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines including acting upon CQC recommendations

You are required to have:

  • Mental Health Nursing qualification
  • Experience working in a Secure setting
  • A valid NMC pin
  • The right to work in the UK
