We are in need of an RMN or RGN to take on a permanent opportunity in an Elderly Nursing Home in Leeds, Yorkshire. 

This Nursing Home is in a pleasant cosmopolitan suburb of Leeds, close by to the local shops and public transport, making it easily accessible.

The care team offers nursing care for those who have complex medical needs and for people living with dementia. Respite care is also provided in order to give family or friends a well-earned break, as well as intermediate care as an alternative to hospital stay, and specialist care for those with mental health conditions or learning disabilities.

Your role responsibilities in a Staff Nurse position will be to:
  • Deliver the highest standards of care with dignity and respect
  • Develop, review and update care plans
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
  • Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are read, understood and adhered to by all staff
  • Provide clinical leadership & supervision for nurses and healthcare staff 
  • Participate in the induction and training of all new nurses on the unit
  • Supervise and monitor standards of nursing care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places 

You will have:

  • An RGN or RMN qualification
  • Current registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK 
  • The ability to use your skills to develop care plans and risk assessments
