Clinical Team Leader - RMN / RNLD - Male PICU - Maidstone - up to £42,000p/a

We are currently partnered with the UK's leading mental health service provider to recruit for Nurses in the Maidstone area of Kent. Our client currently hold contracts with NHS England and 65 other NHS entities across the UK and Wales.

You will be joining a fantastic, fully compliant hospital which is a forward thinking service for adults with enduring mental health conditions. You will take on the role of clinical team leader as they are growing and developing their clinical teams to deliver and support care quality that makes meaningful change to the life of service users.

You will be reporting to the ward manager and sharing responsibility for the day to day overview and steer of the unit.

Your duties as a Clinical Team Leader will involve:

  • Providing strong clinical leadership to the Nursing team
  • Being an active participant in the multidisciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilising appropriate assessments
  • Regularly reviewing risk factors
  • Ensuring that clinical practice is evidenced based and consistent with relevant NICE guidelines and the organisations policies and procedures
  • Undertaking clinical supervision to further develop competence and clinical practice
  • Leading the administration of medicine within the guidelines and framework of the Nursing and Midwifery Council and organisation protocols
  • Ensuring all clinical documentation is of a high standard and patient notes are maintained and filed in the appropriate way
  • Providing a highly specialised range of clinical interventions and knowledge of evidence based models of practice relevant to the patients needs
  • Leading and managing allocated resources effectively through efficient resource allocation, skill mixes, roster management, and utilisation of equipment
  • Participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues

Essential skills / experience:

  • RMN or RNLD qualification
  • Supervision of a healthcare team
  • Team player as well as working on own initiative
  • Clinical knowledge to support and develop the services offered
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
  • NMC registration
