Clinical Lead Nurse - RGN or RMN - Private Nursing Home - Blackpool - up to £39,936p/a

Our client is looking for an experienced nurse to take on a clinical lead position within a private nursing home in Blackpool. The home provides nursing care for up to 50 older people and the staff are highly committed and dedicated to the care and support of everyone in the home. 

The nursing home is supported by a wider multidisciplinary team of GPs, chiropodist, dentists, dietician and other healthcare professionals and not only cares for individuals but offer a holistic service to families within a homely environment. Each person has a comprehensive care package tailored to meet their individual needs, a named nurse and a key worker.

As a Clinical Lead in a Nursing Home environment, you will:

  • Participate fully in the overall care of people who live there, enabling fulfilment and a sense of belonging.
  • Respond professionally and effectively to clinical emergencies in the home seeking urgent/emergency support from GP/Out of Hours services/999 as needed
  • Promptly escalate any serious clinical issues/concerns to Director of Care or Home Manager as appropriate
  • Take accountability for the medication rounds making sure that medication is administered strictly in line with policies and procedures adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Practice and the NMC Guidelines for the Administration of Medications
  •  Liaise effectively with doctors, health visitors, social workers, local hospitals and other community workers, to ensure the needs of our residents are met
  • Report any concerns raised about the home
  • Be responsible for the health and safety of self, other staff, people who live in the home and visitors

You will need:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) qualification
  • Experience leading a small team
  • Valid NMC pin
  • Right to work in the UK
