Staff Nurse - RMN / RGN / RNLD - Disability Nursing Home - Rotherham - up to £30,000p/a

We are looking for a nurse to take on a permanent opportunity in a disability nursing home in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. You can be qualified as a general nurse, mental health or learning disability nurse. 

This nursing home in Rotherham is a welcoming, six-bedroom bungalow. The rooms are spacious and personal, decorated and furnished to suit individual tastes and every room has an accessible ensuite wet room and a TV point. The staff build their care and activity plans around individuals, supporting and encouraging them to be as independent as possible. The home cares for adults living with learning disabilities, autism and mental ill-health.

Your duties as a Staff Nurse working in a Disability Nursing Home include:

  • Delivering the highest standards of care with dignity and respect
  • Developing, reviewing and updating care plans
  • Complying with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
  • Ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are read, understood and adhered to by all staff
  • Providing clinical leadership & supervision for nurses and healthcare staff 
  • Participating in the induction and training of all new nurses on the unit
  • Supervising and monitoring standards of nursing care and taking appropriate action to improve standards when required
  • Ensuring all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places 

You will need to have:

  • An RGN or RMN qualification
  • Current registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK 
  • Mental health or disability experience
