Deputy Manager - RGN - Elderly & Dementia Nursing Home - Herefordshire - £55,000p/a

We are recruiting for a well respected national health care provider who have a fantastic reputation within the West Midlands. Our client is looking to recruit a Registered Nurse (RGN) who has experience of leading a team to join their care home as a Deputy Manager in Kington, Herefordshire. 

The unique nursing home is dedicated to providing dementia care and prides itself on compassion and safety. The beautiful home is set in 7 acres of gardens and they offer state of the art dementia care. If you have previous experience working within a large care home and wanting to develop professional this role is for you!

As the Deputy Manager, you will be required to:

  • Assist the registered manager in all aspects of the home management
  • Deputise in the absence of the home manager
  • Hold overall responsibility for maintaining and monitoring the clinical care being given
  • Ensure all nursing staff are compliant with the requirements of the NMC and re-validation
  • Provide effective leadership to a team of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Be responsible for day to day delivery of care
  • Identify and order medical equipment where required
  • Oversee the induction and training of new staff
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with other healthcare professionals, including visiting GPs

You will need:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) qualification
  • Experience leading or deputising a team
  • Valid NMC pin
  • Right to work in the UK
