Clinical Lead Nurse - RGN - Elderly Nursing Home - Sutton - up to £19/hour plus £1,500 welcome bonus

We currently have a clinical lead nurse vacancy in an elderly nursing home in Sutton, West Yorkshire. We are looking for a registered general nurse (RGN) to fill this role. To be successful, you must have experience of leading a healthcare team within a nursing home setting, or have previously held this role or similar.

As a Clinical Lead in a Nursing Home environment, you will:

  • Participate fully in the overall care of people who live there, enabling fulfilment and a sense of belonging.
  • Respond professionally and effectively to clinical emergencies in the home seeking urgent/emergency support from GP/Out of Hours services/999 as needed
  • Promptly escalate any serious clinical issues/concerns to Director of Care or Home Manager as appropriate
  • Take accountability for the medication rounds making sure that medication is administered strictly in line with policies and procedures adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Practice and the NMC Guidelines for the Administration of Medications
  •  Liaise effectively with doctors, health visitors, social workers, local hospitals and other community workers, to ensure the needs of our residents are met
  • Report any concerns raised about the home
  • Be responsible for the health and safety of self, other staff, people who live in the home and visitors

You will have:

  • An RGN qualification
  • Experience in a senior role/managing a healthcare team
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Current registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
