Registered Nurse - RGN/RMN/RNLD - Learning Disability & Autism Service - Kendal - £28,280 - £35,000p/a

37.5 hours per week (3 shifts one week, 4 the week after)

Days - 7:45am - 8:15pm

Nights - 7:45pm - 8:15am

We currently require an RGN, RMN or RNLD for a Learning Disability & Autism Service in Kendal, Cumbria. Some residents in the home have a dual diagnosis of mental health conditions.

The service you will be joining has a fantastic reputation and has achieved a Good CQC in their recent inspection. The home works at a 1:2 staff to service user ratio and at present there are 14 service users. The service is split up into 2 units and each service user gets 1:1 care throughout the day.

This is a great opportunity for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join a company that takes pride in developing their staff and delivering exceptional care.

Your role responsibilities in an LD, Autism & Mental Health Nursing Home include:

  • Delivering the highest standards of care with dignity and respect
  • Developing, reviewing and updating care plans
  • Complying with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
  • Ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are read, understood and adhered to by all staff
  • Providing clinical leadership & supervision for nurses and healthcare staff 
  • Participating in the induction and training of all new nurses on the unit
  • Supervising and monitoring standards of nursing care and taking appropriate action to improve standards when required
  • Ensuring all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places 

Essential requirements:

  • RGN, RMN or RNLD qualification
  • Experience with LD, mental health or autism
  • Current NMC pin
  • Right to work in the UK
