Community Nurse - RGN - Complex Care - Birmingham - up to £40,000p/a

An experienced registered general nurse is needed to join a community complex care service. You will be joining a specialist community complex care provider and should have experience of working in a similar role (community HDU/ICU or hospital ITU or HDU) You will be working across Birmingham and the West Midlands. You will be eligible for petrol expenses and one day of the week you can work from home in order to update your care plans.

You will be expected to have a thorough understanding of clinical and theoretical developments within nursing practice and be experienced in providing leadership and direction to others. You will be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively and consistently deliver high levels of care.

Part of your duties as a Community Complex Care Nurse include:

  • Providing and developing complex care packages to acutely ill patients in their home
  • Educating and supporting healthcare staff and carers in providing relevant care
  • Working as part of the on call rota
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
  • Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Supervise and monitor standards of care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Registered General Nursing qualification
  • Demonstrable experience in HDU/ICU or Critical Care setting 
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
  • Full & clean UK driving license
