Occupational Therapist - Band 6 - Community - Nottinghamshire - £25 per hour

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with experience of elderly care.

The successful Occupational Therapist will need to be able to work under pressure, have good treatment planning and goal setting skills, and be familiar with a range of treatment interventions and generic conditions affecting elderly.

37.5 hours per week needed ASAP. The role is for 3 months with the likelihood of extension.

The successful Occupational Therapist - Band 6 - Community will have experience of:

* Developing and reviewing treatment programmes, along with patients themselves, that encourage exercise and movement by the use of a range of techniques
* Helping patients' rehabilitation
* Assisting in the supervision and education of student and junior Occupational Therapist
* Writing patient case notes and reports and collect statistics
* Educating patients and their carers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions
* Keeping up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients
* Communicating with a wide range of patients, carers and health and social care team members
* Liaising with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention
* Managing clinical risk

The ideal Occupational Therapist will be:

* HCPC registered
* Eligible to work in the UK
