As a Care Manager in a Residential setting, you will be required to:

  • Ensure the delivery of quality, person-centred care
  • Manage budgets and the financial effectiveness of the setting
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff
  • Chair meetings and deliver training
  • Take on a visible leadership role
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure health and safety compliance
  • Liaise with, and maintain partnerships with, other local community organisations
  • Ensure any regulatory activity, such as personal care and administering medicines, is delivered within regulations
  • Provide information, advice and support to residents' families
  • Organise activities for residents and actively promote their independence

Essential requirements:

  • To be a qualified Nurse with NMC registration
  • NVQ level 4 or 5 / QCF 5 in Health and Social care with proven experience
  • Proven experience in long term elderly care
  • A detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of care plans and advanced care plans in respect of end of life care
  • Evidence of supervisory leadership and management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of adult abuse and managing safeguarding referrals
