Non-Medical Prescriber - RGN / RMN - Drug and Alcohol Recovery - Gloucester - up to £36,700p/a

We are currently looking to appoint specialist nurses and non-medical prescribers to a drug and alcohol recovery clinic in Gloucester. You will be providing care to people entering the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service through referral, open access or the criminal justice system.

As an NMP in a Drug and Alcohol Clinic, you will be required to:

  • Provide a safe, effective and evidence based care and interventions for service users and clinical interventions for alcohol and substance misuse assisted withdrawal
  • Work in collaboration with the clinical lead, consultant psychiatrist and nurses to aid in the safe delivery of Alcohol and Substance Misuse detox and assisted withdrawal services
  • Support service users affected by alcohol and substance misuse to achieve and sustain their recovery
  • Carry out admissions assessments and detox prescribing
  • Client case management
  • Administrate and distribute medication and controlled drugs
  • Oversee the well-being of a client's recovery from a psycho-social perspective as well as medical

You will need to have:

  • A Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) qualification
  • A current registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
  • Experience in a similar clinical role within a substance misuse environment
  • Non-Medical Prescriber qualification
