Night Nurse - RGN or RMN - Younger Adults Care Home - Sutton Coldfield - £16p/h

Full time night position

Our client is a national charity who is looking to hire a staff nurse for their care home in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. They aim to provide exceptional care to younger adults who live with learning and physical disabilities. The service provides a diverse activities programme alongside professional nursing care as encouraging independence is one of their top priorities. You should have experience working in a similar complex care setting and be passionate about working with adults from age 16 - 65. 

You will be experienced working in a complex clinical setting, as the needs of residents include Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy sufferers among other conditions. You will need to have a high level of clinical competence and be prepared to undertake training to gain any new skills required.

The role of the RGN/RMN Staff Nurse is:

  • Delivering the highest standards of care with dignity and respect
  • Developing, reviewing and updating care plans
  • Complying with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
  • Ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are read, understood are adhered to by all staff
  • Providing clinical leadership & supervision for the healthcare staff 
  • Participating in the induction and training of all new staff on the unit
  • Supervising and monitoring standards of care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required
  • Ensuring all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places

As an RGN/RMN, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar complex setting (hospital or nursing home)
  • A nursing qualification
  • Current registration with the NMC
  • The legal right to work in the UK
