Unit Manger – RGN, RMN, RNLD – Care Home – Sheffield, Yorkshire - £16.75 per hour

Hours: Full time permanent

We are looking for a highly experienced Nurse ( RGN, RMN, RNLD ), to take on the role of Unit Manager within a care home in Sheffield, Yorkshire. This care home provides exceptional levels of care for residents with:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Epilepsy
  • Head/Brain Injury
  • Huntington's Disease
  • Mental ill-health
  • Stroke
  • Early on set dementia

As a Unit Manger – RGN, RMN, RNLD – Care Home, you will have the following duties:

  • Conducting pre-admission assessments, assessing client care requirements
  • Working with the MDT to ensure that care provided is appropriate and relevant to the individual's care package
  • Provide safe and effective processes for the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of drugs
  • Maintain cost effective controls of all clinical supplies  (including ordering, storage, stock rotation and correct usage)
  • Review and document care plans on a regular basis
  • Positively promote the home
  • Participate in an on-call system to support the nurse in charge

To be successful in this Unit Manger – RGN, RMN, RNLD – Care Home role you will need:

  • A registered nurse qualification, and an NMC PIN.
  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social support (experience of working with people who have physical and/or learning disabilities would be advantageous).
  • To be able to work flexibly within rostered hours and participate in the on-call rota as required
  • The legal right to work in the UK
