Learning Disability Nurse - RNLD - Complex Physical and Mental Health - Stoke-on-Trent - up to £18p/h

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a nurse to join a complex physical and mental health service close to Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The service is in need of an experienced registered learning disability nurse (RNLD). Due to expansion of the service, there are a range of different units available to you in which you can develop and maintain your clinical skills.

Duties of a Physical and Mental Health Service Staff Nurse include:

  • Providing exceptional, person-centred care within a clinical setting
  • Complying with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines including acting upon CQC recommendations
  • Assessing the changing needs and condition of residents
  • Partaking in the training and induction of all new members of staff, healthcare assistants and student nurses
  • Reviewing care plans accordingly
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
  • Being confident enough to react accordingly to emergencies
  • Ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered

Essential requirements:

  • A registered nurse qualification (RNLD)
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC
  • Experience working with complex physical or mental health conditions
  • The legal right to work in the UK
