Senior Health Care Assistant – Rapid Response Team – Complex Care – Warrington, South Manchester - £23,000 to £25,000 per annum

Shifts: Mix of Day and Night Shifts

I am currently recruiting for Senior Healthcare Assistant, who has previous experience of working within a complex care setting. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a client who is known nationally as a leading provider in home care.

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will be expected to act as a role model and mentor new and inexperienced healthcare assistants. They are looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant who has recent experience supporting Tracheotomies and Ventilators.

As a Senior Health Care Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal care
  • Assisting with medications as prescribed by the medical team
  • Day to day household tasks including changing beds, ironing and shopping
  • Reporting and recording as per company procedures at all times
  • Assisting clients to fulfill their actives of daily living including education, working and leisure

As a Senior Health Care Assistant you will need:

  • Recent experience supporting Tracheotomies and Ventilators
  • Experience working in complex care
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care / NVQ level 3 / BTEC level 3 (equivalent qualification is after 2010 only) / CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare / NNEB
  • Proven care experience
  • Able to work flexibly, the role will require an ability to move around the UK to start up new packages of care
  • On occasions you may need to work unsociable hours as directed by Client need 
  • Able to work on a live-in basis (living at the Clients home), or live in the location of the client (accommodation provided) for 3 months or more while initiating and stabilising a client package of care
  • Full driving licence  and access to your own car
