Physical Healthcare Nurse - RGN - Neurological Rehab Centre - Northamptonshire - £39,000p/a

We are currently recruiting for a physical healthcare nurse, who is qualified as a general nurse, to join as part of a neurological rehab service in Daventry, Northamptonshire. 

You will become a vital part of the service and one of your main concentrations within the service will be on promoting and developing physical and complex healthcare. Alongside this you must be able to support your colleagues and educate others on physical healthcare and best practice treatments.

Your duties as a Physical Healthcare Nurse will be to:

  • Facilitate complex physical health care treatments to patients
  • Support, advise and educate nursing teams to manage complex healthcare needs
  • Co-ordinate, plan and deliver an annual programme of physical care and treatment promotion
  • Take responsibility for supporting the management of infection control
  • Provide professional advice, education and support to staff in all clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Facilitate educational workshop/teaching sessions on aspects of physical care healthcare best practice treatments
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained/improved
  • Provide a clear strategy for physical healthcare improvement within neurological services
  • Work with others to develop a set of measures, to enhance the quality of physical healthcare

To be successful as an RGN Physical Healthcare Nurse, you’ll need:

  • To hold a first-level degree and full registration in general nursing (RGN)
  • Evidence of continuous professional development over a minimum of 3 years
  • Valid NMC registration
  • Experience of training others
  • Hold a valid driving license
