Ward Manager - RGN - Inpatient Ward, Hospital - Exeter - Up to £46,000p/a

Full time, permanent position 

I am currently looking for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to work as an inpatient ward manager for a superb private hospital in Exeter. The role offers a brilliant salary including great bonus structures.

Within this role you will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be leading a team of dedicated nurses. As the recognised ward manager you will need to ensure everyone is providing high quality, safe and compassionate care to the inpatient ward. You will need to ensure that every patient receives outstanding care under your guidance. You will be the main point of contact for the registered nurses and healthcare assistants as well as developing and recruiting for the team.

To work as a Hospital Ward Manager you will need to be/have:

  • Up to date on current nursing practice
  • Experience in previous/current management in nursing
  • Evidence of on-going professional development
  • Awareness/understanding of current health/nursing issues
  • Knowledge of clinical governance
  • Evidence of involvement in the development of protocols and clinical audit
As a Ward Manager, you MUST have:

  • Experience in a similar setting, previous management/senior experience
  • A nursing qualification (RGN)
  • Current registration with the NMC
  • The legal right to work in the UK
