Registered Learning Disability Nurse - RNLD - Physical & Mental Health - Staffordshire - up to £18p/h

An opportunity has arisen to join a large service as a Staff Nurse based in/around Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The ideal candidate will be an experienced registered learning disability nurse (RNLD) who will join one of the teams that make up the complex physical and mental health service. 

As the service has recently expanded, there are a range of different units available to join which is great if you are wanting to develop your current nursing skills.

Duties of this Complex Physical & Mental Health Services Staff Nurse position are:

  • Providing exceptional, person-orientated care within a clinical setting
  • Assessing the changing needs and condition of residents
  • Reviewing care plans accordingly
  • Being confident in reacting to emergencies
  • Ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships within a multidisciplinary team
  • Partaking in the training and induction of all new members of staff
  • Complying with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines including acting upon CQC recommendations

As an RNLD you must have:

  • Experience working in a similar setting 
  • Excellent up-to-date clinical skills 
  • A registered nurse qualification (RNLD)
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC
  • The legal right to work in the UK
