National Lead Nurse - RGN - Community Complex Care - Shropshire, West Midlands - £55,000 per annum

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week

I am currently recruiting for a Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) to take on the role of National Lead Nurse, within a community complex care setting.

My client is one of the country's leading providers of NHS primary, community and home-based care via their 6 divisions. They work extensively with clinical commissioning groups, local authorities and the wider NHS; together with private individuals and independent case managers.  Their Complex Care division is focused in delivering high quality home-based complex healthcare services. 

The National Nurse Manager will provide effective leadership and management of the care service across the country. Develop strategic relationships with agencies in the community, including CCGs and Social Services. Personally, deliver and deliver by delegation a high quality clinical and care service to all clients across the region.

The Operational duties of this National Lead Nurse role include:

  • Lead hospital discharge arrangements and monitor the mobilization process of new client packages of care
  • Manage, support and develop the Regional Nurse Managers and the training department
  • Conduct investigations into clinical incidents as requested
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new clinical policies and procedures
  • Ensure that staffing levels support service delivery within budgetary constraints
  • Ensure that service delivery is of the highest quality, review areas of sub-standard performance
  • Ensure all clinical records are accurately maintained
  • Implement the Company's quality assurance policies with regard to clinical complaints
  • Ensure compliance with local safeguarding policies and procedures across the regions

The Clinical duties include:

  • Carry a case load of clients (if applicable)
  • Conduct care plan reviews
  • Visit each client within the company on an annual basis
  • Undertake (either personally or by delegation) clinical assessments, risk assessments and other assessments appropriate to client need
  • Plan individualised care, nursing intervention and rehabilitation appropriate to client need
  • Conduct monthly 'one to ones' with nurses and clinical trainer, providing clinical supervision

Person Specification of the National Lead Nurse:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Registered Nurse with active PIN
  • The legal right to work in the UK
