Ward Manager - RMN - Mental Health Hospital - Newark, Nottinghamshire - Up to £40,000 per annum

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Ward Manager ( RMN ) to join this specialist Mental Health Hospital in Newark, Nottinghamshire The role is with one of the leading providers of mental health services across the country.

In your position as Ward Manager ( RMN ) you will be providing clinical, managerial and leadership guidance to all junior members of staff including students and newly qualified staff. You will be supporting ward managers in their budgetary responsibilities.

As a Ward Manager - RMN you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring clinical records are well maintained and systems are in place for staff to communicate effectively on clinical issues
  • Directly managing the ward managers
  • Working collaboratively with the MDT
  • Maintaining clinical and ward environmental risk assessments
  • Providing regular and ongoing clinical supervision for all staff ensuring use of appropriate documentation

As a Ward Manager - RMN you will have: 

  • Experience in a managerial position
  • Considerable experience in a senior position
  • A Relevant Nursing qualification ( RMN ) qualification 
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK 
  • An enhanced DBS 
  • Experience of mental health services 
  • Knowledge of the revised Mental Health Act (1983)
