RGN - Practice Nurse - GP Surgery - Luton, South East England - Up to £35,000 per annum

 Working Hours: Flexible timings

I am currently looking for a Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) to join a GP Surgery in Luton as a Practice Nurse.

This surgery in Luton is part of one of the nation’s leading providers of GP surgeries and they are looking for a passionate and dedicated RGN to join their existing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RGN who has fantastic clinical skills and knowledge, and who is able to work within a changing environment and implement change when applicable to provide high quality health outcome.

As an RGN - Practice Nurse, your main duties will include:

  • Undertake health screening, surveillance, new-patient screens and immunisation
  • Assess and care for patients presenting with wounds including removal of sutures and clips and leg ulcer management
  • Vaccination and immunisations, administering injections, ensuring safe vaccine storage, implementing cold chain policy
  • Undertake cervical cytology screening on those who are eligible in line with national guidelines
  • To perform venepuncture
  • Assisting with minor surgery
  • Respiratory
  • Cytology
  • Dressings & woundcare

As a RGN - Practice Nurse, you must have/be:

  • UK registered nurse with significant post registration experience
  • Must have a good knowledge on Quality outcomes Framework
  • Must be able to relay clinical information and maintain accurate, comprehensive consultation records
  • Needs to be sensitive when dealing with confidential issues
  • Able to work in a changing environment and implement change when applicable to provide high quality health outcome
