RGN or RMN - Night Manager - Elderly Nursing Home - Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire - £17 per hour + £1,000 golden handshake

Working Hours: 44 hours per week - Nights

I am currently recruiting for a well experienced Registered Nurse ( RGN or RMN ) to join this highly respected elderly nursing home as Night Manager. Split over two floors, this large elderly nursing home cares for over 70 residents and delivers both elderly and dementia care. The service is part of one of the country's most recognisable and award winning health care providers. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a closely knit and experienced team in a service which prides itself on offering extensive training to its staff.  Along with an initial thorough induction, all staff have continuous and specialised training and are even able to focus on a niche area such as infection control if appropriate.

As the nurse in charge on night duty you will be experienced in supervising and coordinating a group of healthcare staff including supporting new members of the team. This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse ( RGN or RMN ) with experience in both general and dementia nursing.

The role of the RGN or RMN - Night Manager is:

  • To provide exceptional, person-centred care within a clinical setting
  • Assess the changing needs and condition of residents and review care plans accordingly
  • Be confident enough to react accordingly to emergencies
  • Ensure medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including social workers and community teams
  • Partake in the training and induction of all new members of staff, healthcare assistants and student nurses
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines including acting upon CQC recommendations

As RGN or RMN - Night Manager you will have:

  • Experience working in a similar setting 
  • Excellent and up-to-date clinical skills 
  • A Registered Nursing qualification ( RGN OR RMN )
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC
  • The legal right to work in the UK
