Newly Qualified Nurse – RMN – Preceptorship – Hospital – Yorkshire – Starting salary of £25,411 per annum - Pay rise on completion of preceptorship

Contract: Permanent, Full time

I am currently looking for newly qualified nurses ( registered mental health nurses ) looking to take on their preceptorship in a mental health setting.

My client in Yorkshire are looking for newly qualified RMNs who have an interest in working with service users who have complex personality disorders. They provide person cantered care across 4 specialist wards including:

  • Psychiatric intensive care
  • Specialist Female Personality Disorder Service
  • Low security ward for women
  • Low security ward for men

This will be a very challenging but rewarding role, where you will be supported on your preceptorship throughout, and will have the opportunity to be part of a highly regarded and skilled team.

This Newly Qualified Nurse - RMN Preceptorship programme includes:
  • Support from the Preceptorship Development Manager
  • Minimum two shifts per week working with your nominated preceptor
  • Preceptee supernumery 1st week on ward
  • Monthly CPD Days off the ward (specialist and general)
  • Clinical supervision, minimum 1 session per month
  • Managerial supervision, minimum 1 session per month
  • Preceptee Group Meetings on site and across the group
  • Pay rise on completion of preceptorship
  • Certificate and letter of completion

As a Newly Qualified Nurse – RMN, your duties will include:

  • Administering medication
  • Reviewing the care needs of patients
  • Analysing trends to ensure clinical reports are maintained accurately and ensuring care is delivered accordingly based on each patient's requirements
  • Supervising the care given by junior staff, i.e., Nurse Support Workers and be able to lead a shift

As a Newly Qualified Nurse, you must have:

  • A Registered Mental Health ( RMN ) qualification
  • A current, valid registration with the NMC
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  •  An interested in the mental health field
