Head of Nursing - Surgery - Home Based, National Travel - £50,000 - £55,000 per annum + 20% annual bonus
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Nursing, who has previous experience working in Surgical Care to take on a home-based role with National travel.
As a successful Head of Nursing you will work with the Chief Nurse to provide leadership and support across clinical settings, ensuring high quality patient care is delivered by a skilled and educated workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Head of Nursing who has previous experience in leading teams, who has extensive knowledge of the NHS as well as excellent report writing skills and experience.

Duties as a Head of Nursing:
* As Head of Nursing you will identify ways to improve processes and service delivery
* You will implement programmes and processes that increase overall retention, engagement and development of the service
* You will conduct site visits, whilst advising on safety, clinical effectiveness, specialist policies and procedures, as well as assurance of clinical standards and patient experience
* You will support the Chief Nurse in the delivery of the quality and governance agenda
* You will ensure local and national quality and clinical standards initiatives are embedded into practice when staff are being placed and are working in NHS Trusts
* You will set challenging and personal goals
* You will look for opportunities to learn and develop
Essential requirements of this Head of Nursing role:
* Qualified nurse, with valid NMC PIN
* Previous experience of working in a senior nurse role (Band 7 minimum)
* Evidence of substantial CPD in management
* Experience of working in a surgical care setting
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Excellent repot writing skills
* Previous experience in leading a team
* The legal right to work in the UK
