Support Worker - Healthy Family Team - Preston, Lancashire - £10 per hour

Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Children's Support Worker to join our clients Healthy Family Team in Preston, Lancashire. You will be working with pre-school and primary school aged children and their families.

As a successful Support Worker, you will work as part of the Young People & Healthy Families Service, under the director of the Health Visitor, School Nurse and Staff nurse.

Your duties as a Support Worker:

* You will provide targeted support for children and families, in line with competencies, as delegated by a SCPHN/ Team Leader and members of the wider team
* You will undertake the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) with children in reception and Year 6 You will be required to safeguard children in line with safeguarding policy
* You will work in a variety of community settings including lone working in service users homes
* You will work in line with the organisations corporate objectives and will be expected to make a positive contribution to the provision of health services
* You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records including data entry, working proactively with parents and children to encourage uptake of service provision

Essential requirements of this Family Support Worker role:

* NVQ Level 3 or relevant qualification
* Previous experience working with children and families, in a support worker setting
* The legal right to work in the UK
