Band 7 Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist - Post Covid Service - West Midlands - £29 to 31 per hour

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experience Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join the Post Covid Service based in the West Midlands.

You will be carrying out remote assessments, however, you will need to be close to West Midlands, so you are able to travel into the area at least once a week

If you are an experience practitioner who can work independently and with minimal supervision, can manage own workload with good organisation and time management skills, then we would love to hear from you!

Working hours: 37 hours a week

What you will be responsible for:

* Undertake none-face to face telephone assessment, first line advice, support & signposting to patients with Long Covid.
* Triage highly complex patients understanding diagnostic test results including x-rays, blood tests, past medical history, and other information as detailed on the referral form.
* Provide a holistic assessment of patients to ascertain key information for the patient's rehabilitation, including information for MDT input.
* Make independent decisions on any onward referrals to internal or external services that are required to support the patient's rehabilitation
* Attend and present concisely complex patients to the MDT which is managed by a GP with a special interest in Long Covid, a Rehabilitation consultant and link clinicians including MSK, Pulmonary Rehab, Dietetics, SLT, and Psychology.
* Write to Patient and their GP the outcome from their assessment and the action plan in timely manner and ensure the Patient System (RIO) is kept fully up to date within 24hrs of assessments.

Essential requirements:

* Qualified Physiotherapist, with relevant post qualified experience
* HCPC registered
* The legal right to work in the UK
