Support Worker - Supported Living - Sunderland - £9.81 per hour

We are currently looking for a Support Worker based in Sunderland. The successful candidate will work alongside customers who possess a diverse range of complex needs and characteristics to enable them to engage within the community, develop skills and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities of this Support Worker role include:

* Motivate and engage customers in line with positive behaviour support to enable a positive outcome for people
* Provide care and support in a range of services for customers with a learning disability, autism, behaviour that challenges or mental health needs
* Work as part of a team providing and promoting person-centred care and support
* Deliver the best possible care by treating customers with sensitivity and empathy
* Create a safe and supportive environment whereby the highest quality service is delivered

Essential requirements of this Support Worker role include:

* Accredited training in safe handling of medication, moving & assisting and first aid would be advantageous
* A positive caring outlook and enabling attitude
* A willingness to go the extra mile
* Have excellent written and communication skills
* Enjoy a challenge and be flexible in your approach to work
* The legal right to work in the UK
