Substance Misuse Nurse - RGN or RMN - Watford, Hertfordshire - £43,680 - £48,048 per annum DOE

Working Hours: 42 hours per week (3/4 shifts)

We are currently looking for an experienced Drug & Alcohol, Mental Health or Prison Nurse (RGN or RMN) who is enthusiastic and committed to working days or nights in a 20-bedded rehabilitation in-patient service, located in Watford.

Responsibilities of this Substance Misuse Nurse (RGN or RMN) role include:

* Undertake health and wellbeing assessments for all drug and alcohol-dependent service users when indicated by clinical need
* Perform nurse alcohol assessments for all alcohol service users, using results to determine safe detoxification as required
* Use blood results to support the assessment the current health status of service users, the need for specialist medical referral and the suitability for community detoxification
* Oversee the service overnight, ensuring the service users are safe

Essential requirements of this Substance Misuse Nurse (RGN or RMN) role include:

* Registered General or Mental Health Nurse with active NMC PIN (required)
* Substance Misuse, Prisons or Mental Health experience (required)
* Experience in Addictions & Substance Misuse (ideal)
* Demonstrable knowledge of clinical prescribing issues
* UK Driver's License
* Right to work in the UK
